Here is the homework for this evening:

English - upcoming assignments due on the Google Classroom - Book Reports for the month of October due on Friday, October 23; Chariots of Fire essay due Thursday, October 22; Chariots of Fire test on Thursday, October 22

History / Science / Social Studies - there are several worksheets that  need to be completed on the Google Classroom (mostly grade 7).  Take time in the evening to work on some these; class time was given for completion, but we have to continue moving forward.

Parents:

It is important that we work with the students to ensure that they stay on top of the work that is published in the Google Classroom.  This is important in the event that we experience another COVID shutdown.  Unlike last spring when this occurred, students are going to be expected to work on the Google Classroom in the event that a lockdown occurs.  We hope that this allows all of us to continue with your child's education, with little disruption to curriculum, in the event that we cannot attend school.

The  Google Classroom is also important so that students, if they are away for an extended period due to illness, as has been occurring; a student can still manage to keep up with the work that is being done in the class daily.

With the Google Classroom students  are going to need to know how to access, create and submit assignments.  We are practicing this everyday hoping to develop your child's expertise with the program.  Please encourage your child to work with this program as much as possible when they are at home.  Thank you.  Your efforts in this matter are greatly appreciated.

That's all for this evening.  Have a good night.

Google Classroom - there are several assignments in the subjects of History and Science that some students need to get caught up on and submit in the Google Classroom.  Gr. 6s are doing fairly  well, but still some outstanding; Gr. 7s unfortunately have a little more to complete.

Parents:

Good day.  I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend, considering all of the unique circumstance that we have encountered this year.  I would just  like to remind parent to maybe have a talk  with you child about  the Google Classroom and have them show you some of the work that they have been doin and have submitted.  It  is real important that we are all familiar with this program in the event that we have another COVID shutdown.  This will be the primary platform of use if such an event should occur.

Thanks all for tonight.  Have a good evening.
